As many of you know, I took a quick trip over to Seoul, South Korea for a few days this week. Buying some more time until I get my visa issues sorted out. I had just one day to do some exploring, so I stuck around the island where the airport was and went geocaching on 3 neighboring islands.
I stayed at the Lazy Bird Guest House, which was clean and comfortable. I recommend it.
Their Sheltie reminded me of Heidi, our Sheltie growing up.
Gulls swarm to catch chips tossed to them from the ferry
Landing on Sindo Island.
The islands are mostly rural with a lot of crops. I liked the technique used to grow these gourds.
Rice field.
Chicken coop on Modo Island.
I spotted these outdoor exercise stations in several parks in Korea. Smart idea.
There's an area outside the entrance to the Cloud Forest with feeders that attract swarms of hummingbirds. They dart around your head and brush against your cheek. I nearly had a couple new piercings. I took dozens of photos, but these are my favorites.
We stayed the night at a place called Ponto Lobos. It's kind of a shiz hole, but if photographed from the right angle, it doesn't look so bad. I was kind of obsessed with the penguins that loiter around, waiting for scraps from the fishermen.
I went to the Mazatlan Aquarium a couple days ago. 70 pesos to get in, with 3 scheduled shows included. I was just in time for the sea lion show, which I have to admit, was pretty cool.
This is Bony performing a few tricks
A young Billy did some showing off too
The bird show was ok. Mediocre tricks, but at least the hostess was cute.
After, I went inside an aviary where they let you get up close and personal with all kids of different birds.
Inside the aquarium
I'm big boned!

I saw these little critters in the wild in Thailand. This is the first time I've seen them since.
The shark show was "interesting" to say the least. Not sure if children should have been sitting in the front row.

Shark forgotten, hello Mr. Turtle
Back to the aquariums...
Loved watching the sea horses.
I couldn't get enough of the octopuses as well.

Walking back to my hotel. This nightclub overlooking the ocean looks cool from a distance.
In the other direction (South) towards the lighthouse.
