Top 15 WORST Movies of the Decade

No fancy posters and stats for this post. These films aren't worth it. You can seek out more info on them when you have absolutely nothing better to do.

In order to make this list, a film not only had to be terrible, it had to make me ANGRY at having viewed it. They have no redeeming value. I want everyone involved with the production of these abominations to be severely punished. I want people who like these movies to punished.

Obviously, I had to chose from films I had the misfortune of seeing. I realize there are perhaps hundreds of other movies I could have added to this list. Hopefully I dodged a bullet by not seeing them, so please don't add comments asking me why this or that POS movie didn't make my list. If I didn't see it, it's not here.

Please DO add comments that defend any of the titles listed below...

...so I can make fun of you and your terrible taste in film.

These are in order, with #1 being the worst film of the decade.

#15 Dude, Where's My Car? (2000)

#14 The Cell (2000)

#13 A Day Without A Mexican (2004)

#12 Battlefield Earth (2000)

#11 Georgia Rule (2007)

#10 Little Nickey (2000)

#9 Speed Racer (2008)

#8 Running With Scissors (2006)

#7 The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008)

#6 The Brown Bunny (2004)

#5 The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (2005)

#4 The Polar Express (2004)

#3 Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (2007)

#2 Don't Mess With The Zohan (2007)

And the WORST movie of the last decade? (and Oscar winner for Best Picture to boot)

I'm glad to say I haven't seen most of these. I've only seen the following:

#9 Speed Racer (2008)

There were spots where it really looked cool, but overall not that great. I would say this was a waste of my money, but I saw it free.

#5 The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (2005)

This movie was really not that bad. The problem is that it really wasn't that good, and considering the source material, it probably should have been. So, it gets ranked down in my eyes farther than it would have otherwise.

#1 Chicago (2002)

And here's where you're wrong. After we saw this on opening night, we went out of the theater straight to the box office, bought another ticket, then went back and watched it again. It's probably not the only movie I've watched twice in a row, but it's definitely the only one that made me want to give people more money for that privilege.

I come from a much stronger musical theatre background than you, obviously, or maybe I'm actually a closet homosexual. Possibly both. Either way, I really liked this movie and I'm not afraid to say so.

Hitchhikers wasn't the best, but I don't think it deserves a top worst. The BBC series was much better than this, but the movie did do enough to get a flavor for the books.

Polar Express...I've got to rank it higher just because of the way they did the animation. It was bringing a merged animation to a new level and why not in a Christmas movie.

Some that should be on your list:
Definitely Maybe-awful, awful awful...we kept holding on waiting for it to get better and it never did.

All about Steve (2009)- Sondra Bullock missed the mark on this one. It didn't last long in the theaters–thankfully.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend-Uma Thurman was hoping to carry on the Kill Bill theme with this one and it died hard. Thankfully I saw it on DVD and didn't have to walk out of the theater. I just had to hit stop.

I haven't seen one of those movies. Does that make me cool? Or do I just not get out that much?
xoxoxo

Yeah, I think I agree with most of the ones that I've seen that are on this list. I hated Dude where's my car. In fact it's the only movie I've ever walked out on I think. It also represents a dark day as I saw it on the worst date of anyone's entire life.

The only one I've seen is Polar Express.
Aubrey is scared of this movie.
Spencer loves it.
It is a little bit weird that all the characters resemble the producer. Tom Hanks likes to be in his own movies (i.e. That Thing You Do) Another movie you would hate.
As for me, I like Polar Express just enough to watch once each December.

I haven't seen any of those on the list the whole way through or even enough to comment - the only worst movies I can think of adding are 1. The Last Unicorn (a terrible animated film which hopefully no one else saw) and 2. Transformers (I think Josh will be the only one who would agree with me.) We looked at each other in the theater like 'can you believe this crap.' I hated it from the first scene to the last.

By the way Shane - I commented on your top 50 list, but way after everyone else.
