Gruesome Grizzly 8K

I wanted to get these race photos up before my next race this coming Saturday. These are from the Gruesome Grizzly 8K a couple weeks ago. These photos are all from a photographer out on the course. The race was in Provo Canyon, beginning and ending at Canyon Glen Park.

That area to the right is where we are headed

Lei it on me

The rest of my trip was spent in Waikiki, at the Sheraton. They were overly generous to us the entire trip. I loved my room so much I had a hard time leaving.

The Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (Hawaiian Grammy's)

"Cause of Death: Suffocation due to excessive leis"

"This lady has a reputation around the islands for being an easy lei"

"Does my neck look fat in these leis?"

"If this lady was a member of The Hawaiian A-Team, she's be Mr. T"

"Dress by Hilo Hattie, makeup by Loreal, and jewelry by Bob's Nursery & Garden Supply"

...I got a million of these. If you think you can do better, please leave your caption in the comments.

Leaving Turtle Bay

Now that our event is over, I am staying on for an Educational FAM trip hosted by the Hawaii Convention Bureau.

They moved me over into the "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" cottage, which was used in the filming of said movie.

They took us kayaking--this is me looking super geeky in my sun hat.

Full moon

Jack Osbourne was here shooting stunts for his new show Adrenaline Junkie. I secretly snapped this photo of him walking by.

We stopped at Pali Lookout on the way to Waikiki.

Old Pali Road - how they used to get from one side of the island to the other

It soon turns into a paved, overrun trail. I'd like to run this one day.

Looking back at the lookout point.
