Surf & Shrimp

Took a short break to watch some beginner surfers in the cove. Gorgeous weather here, although a bit hot for my liking.

Had some spicy garlic shrimp at this place.

Pinewood & Paradise

Survived my second Pinewood Derby last week as cub master. We combined with 2 other troops, which made for a more exciting race for them, and less work for me.


This week I'm at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu. I like to think this is karma's way of rewarding me for wrangling cubs.

They had a beautiful suckling pig at the luau last night.

Having seen Andrew Zimmerman snack on pig's ear many times, I decided to give it a try myself. Not tasty.
