Cinco de Mustache Remembered
The guy who took our mustache centerfolds put this photographic gem together, as an ode to facial hair.

My Ford F150
I bought this old pickup about a month ago. It's nothing fancy--just something to haul crap around in and maybe take it off-roading.

It looks better from a distance. This is from my office window.
The paints not so good
quite a few dents
mess 'o wires
sweet interior
Sunflower seeds and...
...Cheeto was thrown in for free.

The Coachella Three
It's time I finished off my Coachella pictures. This last post contains misc. photos of The Coachella Three, as I'm officially dubbing us.

Seeking respite from the heat in the chill tent. Please psychologically prepare yourself to see several pictures of myself in a giant, floppy hat. I know, it's traumatizing for me too. But it stopped me from getting Head Cancer.

A few too many? Nope. Just catching a few Zzzz's to recharge my batteries

International Caching in Utah
On my run today I replaced one of my caches that some kids had destroyed, checked on another one that people have had trouble finding, and then came across a big group of cachers who had just found my Windmill Tree cache. I've really enjoyed hiding these caches and seeing other people find them.
Back on March 28th, Windmill Tree was found by this group:
Not the everyday folk you normally see on the Jordan River Trail. Very cool. Here is the post they left on my cache page:
Back on March 28th, Windmill Tree was found by this group:

The 3rd cache in a team building activity for an engineering team from a local company.
10 team members in all from many different places: Idaho, Utah, Singapore, Burma, India, China, Malaysia and Nepal.
A good time was had by all.

Ogden Marathon
I ran in the Ogden Marathon this weekend. It was my third one, so I thought it would go much smoother than it did. Turns out I trained too hard too close to the race, and consequently became very sore after mile 8. My pain threshold was put to the test the last 6 miles. My (not) record breaking time was 3:59:04, a 9:07 min/mile pace. Not as fast as St. George, but not even close to my disaster at Deseret News.
Glad it's over.

Weed & Crack @ Coachella 2008
I didn't capture as many shots of kids smoking weed as I would have liked, but I did get a few.

This guy got featured 3 times in my blog. Once for his tattoos, once for smoking weed, and now for his plumber's crack.
Based on the reaction of the dude to the right, it must be good stuff

Plenty of crack available at Coachella too

Coachella Art 2008
Besides the music and people watching, there are also plenty of art installations to check out.

Adjoining the DJ village was a stage area where cabaret type performances were held, only with lots of spraying water.

Community Drums: This is like a Phish fans wet dream. For everyone else, it was our worst nightmare. Endless drumming by people who think they can drum.

These towering semis were voted coolest art project by our group.

Coachella Tattoos 2008
Coachella Tattoos 2007 was so popular, I had no choice but to bring it back for 2008. I don't even have to try. Tattoos at Coachella are virtually everywhere. Just point and shoot. These were some of my favorites.

OK, so these weren't anything special, but I liked that they had matching generic sun tattoos. You know, to show their love for each other.
